About Us
At Cara-Lea Dance Studios, we’ve been helping students dreams become reality on the dance floor since opening our doors nearly 30 years ago. Many of our students have gone on to achieve a sucsessful career in the world of dance either as teachers or performers all around the world. Our highly trained and certified I.S.T.D teachers have a wealth of experience in teaching and performing various styles and disciplines. We have a passion for dance and for helping others discover their inner dancer and confidence. Within our dance family we create a warm and friendly environment to excel in the opportunities of dance as well as creating friendships and memories to last a lifetime.

Performance Crew
By Invitation Only
Throughout our yearly calendar, we have many performance opportunities for our students ranging from west-end shows to Disneyland Paris.
These events take extra practice which normally takes place on weekends when needed to create a sharp performance. We will offer these experiences to dedicated and enthusiastic students with experience as selected by teachers, this gives students something to strive for.
The Annual School Show is open to all students and normally held at Christmas.
This is a very popular event on our calendar to celebrate the year of hard work giving family and friends the chance to see students development up in lights on their local theater's stage.
Graded classes
Higher Level Training (Must Be at least 7 years of age and attending 1 hour of general class per week minimum)
The graded examinations in dance are accredited on the national qualifications framework (N.Q.F). These grades 1 - 6, intermediate 1 and 2 are the foundation points for developing a greater knowledge of the aspects of dance learning precision and control within the range of their own physical capacity, correct warm-up structures, and their own understanding of preformance and choreography. We are very proud as a school to be one of the first to offer these exams in D.F.R in the country when first developed over 15 years ago.
These are a great starting point for any dancer wishing to have a career in dance, performance or teaching
General weekly classes
Age 5 & Up
These high energy vibrant classes cover a wide range of styles from street dance and hip hop, commercial, disco freestyle, rock 'n' roll, and lyrical.
The evolvement and developments of these styles are largely influenced by current music trends and promos / videos. As well as staying fresh with the styles and music we develop students technique, stamina and flexibility within these dance lessons offering competition floor craft skills and medal examinations opportunities within I.S.T.D.
As well as these exam / competition events we offer, we hope all our students gain life skill from this such as confidence new friendships and a passion for dance.

Little Starz
Age 3 - 4 (Preschool)
This class was developed for our pre-school dancers age 3-4 to introduce small children to the magic and fun of music and dance. The class includes activities that will enable children to explore space, to develop musicality, and to improve co-ordination. Benefits of this class include the development of listening and social skills, motor skills, and the development of self-expression.
Classes encourage students to engage in dance using several different props and popular music. Fully structured routines are taught throughout this class allowing students to take I.S.T.D examinations from this early age which allows the children to be assessed on technique. The emphassis on this age group is capturing the love of dance.

H.M Theater, Pontins Camber Sands, The Royal Albert Hall, Regal Stowmarket, The London Palladium, Sadlers Wells, O2 London, And Disneyland Paris.
